Back At It

With Spring Break being over I’ve had to transition from a week of doing nothing into a week of doing everything. It’s hard to maintain good nutrition and we can completely forget about working out this week, it’s just not going to happen. After this week I’m pretty sure things will settle down, at least a little bit. I just got my placement for my observations so that may take up some time of my life, but not too much…hopefully. 

Since I’m unable to get out there and goooooo I’m having to be super careful with what I eat. For the most part I’ve done very well with it with the exception of yesterday afternoon/evening. I eat breakfast, pack my own lunch and snacks…and then dinner hit haha. Tonight will be better :) I don’t plan on doing that again…that was just ridiculous. 

Also I have an angry eye again this morning, I wanted to take my contacts out but if I wear my glasses I can’t see the front of the classroom or read the powerpoint slides because they’re the wrong prescription! 

We’re halfway through the week guys and KU plays on Saturday…there’s no reason the rest of this week can’t be ahhh-mazing!

What Are YOUUUUUUUU Doing?

Spring Break is here and I for one have tons of friends going on wild adventures this week. I however am not. I’m spending the week with my family; doing my laundry for free, chilling with the sisters, visiting a few people, and writing a few essays. Ew. Essays are not ideal, but they must be done. 

With the stress of the last few weeks behind me I’m so ready to get back into the swing of things. Healthy eating and working out again are at the top of my to do list (after those darn essays). Since I haven’t been keeping up with it the last few weeks it’s probably going to be tough to jump right back into it, especially with moms delicious homemade cooking that I just can’t keep my paws off of! I’ll do it though.

Spring Break

This has been a long awaited week for any stressed out college student. Spring Break. The first break we’ve had since winter break…we’re half way through the semester now. We’ve all just finished midterms and we’re all ready to relax.

Funny Eating Habits

I’ve just been bonkers with the way I eat the last few days..maybe it’s stress, maybe it’s lack of time, maybe it’s my inability to keep up with my life…either way, somethings gotta give. 

I didn’t eat lunch til 2 today, what I ate was just…weird. It was semi healthy…except the potatoes.

Then I was full until about 8 after I showered…so I ate a naner…then I had an egg sandwich with a bowl of soup…then we went to DQ. LOL. yeah.

The eggs were free. I had a coupon…it was amazing…I’ve been through 3 dozen eggs and haven’t paid for a single one…

Sadly I’m out of free egg coupons :( 

I don’t really have time to “work out” these days, especially with the stress of midterms and such. Lucky for me I work with kids. Kids who have been in school all day and are ready to run outside..so the last few days I’ve spent time outside with the kids. Running after soccer balls, lifting kids on the monkey bars, swinging, shooting baskets…it’s actually a lot of fun. I doubt I’m burning a lot of calories, but for the time being it’s working out for me.

My jacket smells like a sweaty kid though…you know the smell…the one that students bring in after recess. Gross. That’s okay though, in five days my mommy can do my laundry and cook my meals and watch my shows with me. 

I. Can’t. Wait.

Is it Spring Break yet?

Weekend Lessons

Things I learned this weekend: 

  1. Steak N Shake, no matter what time of day….is a bad idea. 
  2. Waiting until Sunday to do your laundry, write two papers, and start studying for a midterm, also a bad idea. 
  3. Learn to say “No” to the lady from work, garage sales in the middle of no where can be a little sketchy.
  4. Signing a lease takes half as long as it does for them to find the right one. 
  5. Daylight Savings still sucks. 
  6. My dear roommate is experiencing her first Daylight Savings Time…poor Arizona. 
  7. Angel Hair, as much as it is my favorite pasta…doesn’t make very good mac and cheese.
  8. I still like mac and cheese though.
  9. Waiting until midnight is pretty stupid.
  10. Showering after a long day of sitting on your butt and writing papers all day is a great feeling. 
  11. After this week we get a week off!
  12. Also after this week I will officially have time to work out again :)
  13. My skim milk tastes funny…really annoying since I just bought it.

Girl’s Night

I just really love girl’s night :) 

I look forward to it every week. This week we did facials and Mary Kay makeovers, thanks to Cassidy who took me to one last week. It was a lot of fun. Good chats, pretty faces, nice skin, and new products.

Yes, I may have spent a little too much money…but it was all somewhat necessary. I needed a new cleanser, a decent foundation, moisturizer, and mascara. I was going to buy it all anyways…might as well get good quality out of it. The microdermabrasion set may have been optional…but my pores are ridiculous…so I see it as kind of an investment, no? 

It’s been a stressful week. Now that it’s over I’m 110% ready to enjoy my weekend. I have a big huge grammar midterm next week and a paper due on Monday, but I can handle all of that!

Monday…

…can someone please explain to me how Monday can come so quickly? What did I do today that made Sunday go so quickly? I hardly got any homework done I feel like…
